Target
The target participants are those who have been already engaged in sensory evaluation, those who want to incorporate sensory evaluation in their work or research, those who will teach about sensory evaluation at universities in the future, and those who are in laboratories to train young researchers.
Format
Online lectures (1 day) and Face-to-Face workshop (1 day) (total 2 days)
Content
In this workshop, you will have hands-on experience in designing, experimenting, analyzing, and presenting about sensory evaluations. In group work, coordinators will give advice to each group.
Program
Day 1
- Introduction
- Explanation of sensory evaluation results
- Lecture：Planning and execution of sensory evaluations
- Hans-on experience（group work）：
- Setting aims and experimental design
- Decision of sensory attributes and methods
- Making questionnaires
Day 2
- Hands-on experience（group work）：
- Execution of the plan
- Analysis of the experimental data
- Prepare for presentation
- Presentation and discussion
