Overview
“The Japanese Society for Sensory Evaluation (JSSE)” was established in 1996, based on “the Sensory Evaluation Section”, which was founded in 1955. The JSSE aims to contribute to the development of sensory evaluation science and to the advancement and improvement of products, services, culture and the overall quality of life. To achieve this goal, the society holds annual conferences, workshops, statistical training seminars, and technical exchange sessions for industry professionals. It also promotes the exchange of information and communication between members through the publication of its academic journal (The Journal of Japanese Journal of Sensory Evaluation) twice a year and its website. The JSSE is also actively involved in an awards program.
